What Is 20-Bit Technology?
We're all familiar with 16-bit technology, a process used in manufacturing CDs since they first appeared in the 1980s. Using 16-bit measurements, a sound is sampled 44,100 times per second. The 16-bit process recognizes over 65,000 sounds. 20-bit technology also samples sound 44,100 times per second, but can identify over 1,000,000 sounds.
Bottom line: 20-bit technology provides a more accurate picture of sound, significantly improving the fidelity, dynamic range, and "warmth" of our favorite music.
Each volume of the ReMasters Series utilizes the revolutionary APOGEE UV22 SUPER CD ENCODING PROCESS for improved sonic accuracy.
