In 1964, Jerry Garcia Sandy Rothman traveled across the country with their heroes, the Clarence White/Kentucky Colonels. Their special affinity for White's trailblazing flat pick guitar style has finally been realized in this recording which teams Sandy with Steve Pottier,considered the foremost exponent of the Clarence White flat pick guitar style.

Their performance appeals far beyond the bluegrass market. Sandy Rothman is a veteran of the bluegrass bands of Bill Monroe and Jerry Garcia's Acoustic Band.
